Italy

The Italian lakes, tour the lake Major and Stresa and the Borromean islands. Don’t forget to see Lake Como, where its picturesque landscape influenced the work of many writers in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Milano, northern region capital, here you can visit the world famous opera house “La Scala”

Cremona, take a look at the city of world famous Stradivarius violin makers (museum).

Tuscany region

Florence, the fashion capital, Florence can also be enjoyed for its many historical remains of the D’Medici family.

Sienna, visit the region of Chianti wines and castles also home to the leaning tower of Pisa.

Genova, assumed as the birth place of Christopher Columbus, one can visit his house there as well the largest harbor of Mediterranean Sea.

 

 

South of Spain: Andalusia

Malaga, capital of the Costa del Sol, you have the possibility of arriving here by air or sea.

Granada, host to the Alhambra palace, built during the Arabic occupation that lasted eight centuries! Don’t miss the Generalife gardens and the gypsy grottos in the hills where you can enjoy local dances only add to the city’s charm.

Cordoba, former Arabic capital, the magnificent mosque which became a cathedral when the Catholic kings re-conquered this place, can still be seen today.

 

Sevilla, extremely rich in history, this city is the capital of Andalusia and Flamenco. Nearby lie some roman ruins and the vineyards of sherry wines. It is equally possible to arrive here by plane.

Cadix, visit its harbor on the straight of Gibraltar, where Columbus began his adventure towards a new world and discovered America.

 

Berlin

Visit this newly rebuilt, spectacular city. The Brandeburger gate, the Kurfurstendam avenue, the Unter den Linden avenue ... It also offers a lot of outstanding museums such as the Pergamon, withholding the reconstructed marble altar, the only remain, of the Greek Pergamon Acropolis. Also in the same museum, a section is devoted to the Middle-East where the famous Ishtar Gate of Babylon where processions were held during ceremonies welcoming the New Year in Babylon. These doors are covered with marvelous blue ceramic tiles from the 6 B.C. Naturally, the bust of Nefertiti is also a must-see in the Egyptian Museum of Berlin. If you are more interested in paintings, the Art Gallery in Dahlem (suburbs) is worth a look at too. Most importantly, Berlin Wall museum and “Check-Point Charlie” are incredible to visit as well as the Jewish museum.

Outside Berlin are various other beautiful excursions you can take such as: A visit to the Charlottenburg castle or one to Potsdam where the Sanssouci castle is situated and where the “Conference of Potsdam” took place in 1945.

 

Berlin’s nightlife equally caters to everyone’s tastes!
